Students facing financial hardship are encouraged to apply to South Gate Creative Writing School anyway, and seek financial assistance if you are accepted. Students have access to grants, scholarships, and other local and regional sources of financial aid that may apply. Feel free to contact SGS to discuss your options.

As a private school in Denmark, the South Gate school of creative writing is not accredited by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. As such, the school does not currently receive government funding, nor are students eligible for government educational aid known as SU.

Upon acceptance into the program, you will have 30 days to pay a deposit of 5,000 DKK to reserve your place at the school. This deposit is the first of 12 monthly payments for the school year. Invoices are sent at the end of each month, and payments are due within 30 days of receipt. After your deposit is paid, your first regular payment will be due by August 1.
